What are the common materials for elastic seat gate valves?
1. Ductile iron shall be the main material of the valve body, and cast steel, stainless steel, 316 shall also be provided. The actual physical and chemical test data of the brand and cast iron shall be indicated.
2. Stem material, commonly used stainless steel stem (2CR13), large caliber valve should also be stainless steel stem.
3. The nuts are made of brass or cast aluminium bronze (commonly used brass), and their hardness and strength are greater than that of the valve stem.
4. Material of sealing surface: different types of elastic seat gate valves, different sealing methods and material requirements; common wedge gate valves, copper ring materials, fixing methods, grinding methods should be explained; elastic seat gate valves, the rubber content of valve plate lining materials should be more than 50%.
5. Valve shaft packing: Because the elastic seat gate valve in the pipeline network usually does not open and close frequently, the filler is required to remain inactive for several years, the filler is not ageing, and the sealing effect should be maintained for a long time; Valve shaft packing should also bear frequent opening and closing, and the sealing effect should be good; In view of the above requirements, the valve shaft packing should not be replaced for life or more than ten years; if it needs to be replaced, it should be considered that there can be water pressure. Measures for replacement under conditions (our company has developed a soft sealing gate valve with pressure to replace the sealing ring).
The working pressure of the elastic seat gate valve should be greater than or equal to the working pressure of the pipeline. Without affecting the price, the working pressure of the valve should be greater than the actual working pressure of the pipeline; any side of the elastic seat gate valve should be able to withstand 1.1 times the working pressure of the valve without leakage; and the valve body should be able to withstand 1.5 times the working pressure of the valve when the valve is opened.
