  500X pressure relief/holding valve consists of main valve, pressure relief/holding guide valve needle valve, ball valve, micro filter and pressure gauge. Hydraulic automatic operation can be used as pressure relief valve and pressure holding valve. When used as relief valve, the water supply pressure can be maintained below the set value; when used as pressure holding valve, the upstream water pressure of the main valve can be maintained above the set value and the upstream water supply pressure of the main valve can be maintained. 500X pressure relief/holding valve is controlled by hydraulic self-control without other devices and energy. It is easy to maintain and multi-purpose. Widely used in high-rise buildings, living areas and other water supply network systems and urban water supply projects.

  Principle of 500X relief/holding valve:

  1. As relief valve: When relief/holding guide valve is adjusted to relief state, water flows to outlet through needle valve, main valve control room, ball valve A, relief/holding guide valve and ball valve B. At this time, the main valve is in open state. When the inlet pressure exceeds the set value of the pressure relief/holding guide valve, the pressure relief guide valve will automatically open and release part of the water through the ball valve C to relieve the pressure of the pipeline. When the pressure restores to the value, the relief valve closes automatically. When working as relief valve, the ball valves are usually open.

  2. As a pressure-holding valve: When the pressure relief/pressure-holding guide valve is adjusted to the pressure-holding state, as long as the inlet water pressure of the main valve is lower than the set value of the guide valve, the guide valve will be closed. The main control room is pressurized and the main valve is closed. When the upstream water supply pressure of the main valve exceeds the set pressure of the pilot valve, the pressure-holding pilot valve can be opened. The water in the control room is discharged through the ball valve to the outlet. The pressure-reducing main valve in the control room opens and begins to supply water, that is to say, the upstream water pressure is maintained. When used as pressure holding valve, ball valve C is usually closed or replaced with wire plug.
